Project overview

Bali Listings is a property marketplace built for the Bali real estate market, allowing agents to list properties for sale and rent while buyers and renters can discover listings freely without any cost. The platform serves a diverse international audience — requiring full multilingual support across English, Indonesian, and Russian, alongside multi-currency pricing in USD and IDR.


We built the entire platform on Sharetribe with a fully custom design, delivering a feature-rich property marketplace in 2 to 3 weeks — launching with 1,000+ users and 3,000+ property listings.

The Challenges

Bali Listings required a multilingual, multi-currency property marketplace experience tailored to both local Indonesian agents and international buyers from English and Russian-speaking markets.

Our Approach

We started with a fully custom design implementation — rebuilding the entire Sharetribe frontend to match the Bali Listings brand and the expectations of an international property audience.


Multilingual support was implemented across all three languages — English, Indonesian, and Russian — covering both static platform content and dynamic listing data. This ensures agents can list in their preferred language while buyers from different markets see content in theirs.


Multi-currency pricing was built to display and handle transactions in both USD and IDR, giving international buyers familiar pricing while supporting local Indonesian transactions. Featured listings were implemented as a monetisation and visibility tool — agents can pay to promote their listings to the top of search results, creating a revenue stream for the platform while giving sellers more exposure. The discovery experience was kept completely free for buyers, reducing friction and driving higher user registration.
