Project overview
PostPartners is a healthcare marketplace built for the US market, connecting new parents seeking postpartum support with qualified care providers including lactation consultants. The platform needed to handle the unique requirements of a healthcare service marketplace — verified provider profiles, document uploads for clinician credentials, video consultation capabilities, and a flexible booking flow that accounts for provider availability.
We built the entire platform on Sharetribe, delivering a fully functional postpartum care marketplace in 2 weeks — onboarding 20+ clinicians and 100+ users at launch.
The Challenges
PostPartners required a healthcare-grade marketplace experience that goes significantly beyond a standard Sharetribe build — with provider verification, professional onboarding, and consultation workflows built from the ground up.
A custom landing page designed and developed to convert both parents and clinicians
A combined profile and listing creation flow for clinicians — allowing providers to set up their professional profile and service listing in one unified onboarding experience
Document upload at signup — clinicians need to submit credentials and certifications during onboarding for verification
Video call integration for 1:1 postpartum consultations between parents and care providers
Inquiry flow for when a clinician is unavailable for immediate booking — allowing parents to express interest and get notified when availability opens
Our Approach
We started with a custom landing page designed specifically to speak to two very different audiences — new parents looking for support, and clinicians looking to offer their services. Each audience needed a clear and distinct entry point into the platform.
For clinician onboarding, we built a combined profile and listing creation flow — eliminating the friction of separate steps and allowing providers to go from signup to live listing in one seamless journey. Document uploads were integrated directly into the signup flow, giving the platform operator the ability to verify clinician credentials before they go live.
Video call integration was added to support 1:1 consultations directly within the platform — keeping the entire parent-clinician relationship on PostPartners rather than moving to external tools. For situations where a clinician is not immediately available, we built an inquiry flow allowing parents to register their interest and receive follow-up when a slot opens up.
